About this coffee
Espresso No. 3 from Firstcrack Coffee Roasters in Berlin is truly special: this exciting blend is made from 85% washed and dry-fermented Catimor Arabica beans from Ywa Ngan in Myanmar. The beans are grown traditionally and 100% organically at The Lady Coffee farm and washing station, where coffee producers are paid double for their harvested beans and for successful sales to international roasters. The remaining 15% Robusta comes from the Yellikodige Coffee Estate in Karnataka, India. A highly elaborate anaerobic natural processing method, very rare for Robusta coffee, gives this espresso a unique sweetness reminiscent of ripe fruit. The medium roast highlights a perfectly balanced interplay of fruit and body, resulting in a lively flavor profile with notes of mild apple, grape, and caramel. The acidity is present but not overpowering, and the overall intensity is relatively mild. Espresso No. 3 adds an exciting dimension to milk-based drinks or plant-based alternatives. Pure as an espresso or brewed with a moka pot, it is a true treat. Packaged in 250g, flavor-safe packaging, each cup reflects Firstcrack’s commitment to artisanal coffee and innovative exploration since 2010. The roastery emphasizes social responsibility, paying well above standard Fairtrade prices for green coffee. Throughout the coffee value chain, Firstcrack prioritizes transparency, fairness, and ecological practices, delivering a cup that delights the senses and supports a clear conscience.
